How Does a GPS Cell Phone Tracker Work?

Your phone has a GPS receiver installed per federal mandate. The receiver receives signals sent from GPS Satellites orbiting the earth. The GPS receiver receives these transmissions and can determine it’s location from these messages. Your cell phone, which is equipped with this receiver, carries the information of your location. Your cell phone company or other tracking provider can share that information with you.
