Sometimes The Number Is The Hardest Part

It used to be with cell service, the cell number was most always provided to the receiving caller. If you had caller id, you just read the number off the phone. Nowadays, however, more and more people and companies are refusing to let you see their number when they call. You get a message that says "private" or "not listed". Worse still, some of the new technology can actually allow callers to "spoof" their phone numbers, sending you fake numbers instead of their real number. Many telemarketers just pick random phone numbers to send to you when they call. That means that your phone shows numbers from all over the place. It's a mean trick, but right now there isn't much we can do about it. More agressive telemarketers are eventually caught and shut down by governments.

Whose Cell Phone Number Is This

Are you getting calls that you don't know who is on the other end? Are you seeing phone numbers on your phone bill that you don't recognize? Are you wondering whose cell phone number is this? Well, there are ways to track these numbers down. Some are free and some have a nominal fee.

In most instances, if the phone number is a land line, you can simply use Google or a website like White Pages.com to put in the number and you will get a name and address back of who the number belongs to. If you want more information about the person behind the land line, then you will have to pay for that.

If the phone number is a cell phone, you will not get much information for free. Usually what you get is the location the phone is registered in. Then you have to pay to find out the name of the owner of that cell phone. And that information may or may not be available depending on which service you are using.
